I Heard It On The Radio and Here I am :-)

Sir John Honeybucket:
It was good to tune across the eighty meter band and read (digital mode)  a frank discussion of ?current events?. That is how I found your website.  Oh, the solar flare and SID
(Sudden ionospheric disturbance ) did NOT Help!

I am retired in a very rural watermans area  in coastal Virginia where we grow some of our food and can generally go fishing for much of the tastier bits, while we enjoy our quiet lives.  I am a life-long ham radio operator (for which there is no cure), Ex-military, Ex-engineer for both civilian and DoD projects and naturally, have lived and worked in some semi-stable countries, which list we are currently joining here in the US of A.

LOL, Sir John Honeybucket.

Thanks for joining the net this evening.

A new SOI will be coming out for October and we will switch back to 40-meters for phone and we will stay on 80-meters for digital.

Now, welcome to Unchainedpreppers!

Great group of folks here although many have an eclectic slant.

Welcome

Greetings and Salutations Good Sir,  Hail and Well Met.

Good to have another from the Old Dominion around here.  But if it primarily swims, I likely won't eat it.

Sir John Honeybucket:
JohnyMac & Nemo ,

Thank you for your Welcome to the forum and the net,
and as my dog would say: ?greetings and Salivations?.

JnyMc - Thanks for the heads-up re: updated SOI , and I?ll make certain to be up to date and as always , STRONG FEC digital modes work best under rough conditions for the net and for the silent listeners.

NMo - Correct, NN here, where all roads on North, South and East end in
salt water. Nobody is just driving through out here., Unless, theyre driving a SchwimWagon. With a name like yours and an affinity for water life , what in the world are you doing so far inland ? Does your exfil plan include drifting/slogging down The James to reach real water at The Bay ?

Sir John H-

Nemo:
Go re-read--  If it swims, I likely WON'T eat it.

And I ain't headed east.  I am counting on the James to keep the yankees at bay.
