Title: Howdy from the Houston area
Post by: Digital Packrat on March 22, 2014, 11:12:42 PM
I'm new here, but have been prepping for several years. Thanks to JohnyMac for pointing me to this board. Background is in IT Security, but I spent several years as a Firefighter/EMT/Ambulance driver in rural Texas.

Welcome aboard Digital Packrat!

As you know we are a small prepper group with a broad base of knowledge. Some folks are more expert in some area's while none of us are experts in everything. So don't hesitate asking questions on subjects you would like some advise on and jumping in with your knowledge on Items that I/we need help with.

WARNING WILL ROBINSON WARNING...Be careful of Burt as he is smarter than all of us combined.  ;)

Burt,
Well TOR is heavily monitored and AVG, is well free. I worked for an AV vendor for 11 years, and now adays it's pretty much a commodity. Defense in depth is still a good idea on many levels. ;-)

Encrypt everything and leverage AdBlock I always say.

My personal preference is .50 beo TCP resets.
