Title: Hello from West-by-gawd-Virginia

Oak Hill, that is.  I'm not exactly a model prepper, but I like to maintain a solid baseline of fitness by mountain bikin', building mountain bike trails, a little bit of trail runnin', and humpin' the battle-rattle from time to time.  Veteran of Desert Shield/Storm having served as a cavalry scout with K-Trp, 3/3 ACR.  I have attended Combat 2-Gun, Combat Team Tactics, and Close Quarters Battle courses with Max Velocity Tactical.  I'm interested in meeting up with others with an interest in basic SUT.  I have a place with camping available.  My only problem is limited time beginning in about 2 weeks.  Cool forum and I'm digging on the emoticons!   :gunner: :trolling: :deadHorse: :zombitron: :dancingBanana: :dancingGrenade:

Hey Wesmc. Welcome to the forum.

Great group of gals and guys here from all over the political spectrum that focus most of their energies on prepping. And from all over the globe.

I have been down to Romney a few times myself so I am sure you walk the walk.  ;)  Just rocked a great Recon & Surveillance class with NCScout of Brushbeater.com fame in NC this past weekend. All good stuff.

Enjoy and don't hesitate jumping in with questions you may have or helping out someone with questions.

Welcome.  Kinda.  If you yanks hadn't broke off from the rest of the family (as in VA) we coulda whupped them yanks proper and taken DC just after finishing them at Manassas the first time, ending that War of Northern Aggression and taught them what for right off.  So you are welcome here, but I will be keeping an eye on you.   ::)

I am in Lynchburg Va, what part of WV are you?  I have enough camper to keep the beef and beer cold so I might have to come visit you a time or 2 over the summer.

Thanks again for the Surly Karate Monkey recommendation. To be honest have not gotten out on the trails yet but hope to change that this year!
