Hello;
Name: Mike
Age: 60
Occupation: RN (in diabetic wound clinic at a VA hospital).
Married 32 years, no kids. We live near Gainesville, FL (25 years), we are both
originally from the Finger Lakes region of NY.
I was a radio operator in the Army for 3years, but Morse code was being fazed out even back then. So I never did much of that. I recently got interested in ham radio and passed the General exam last October.

Welcome cooter!
First and foremost, congratulations on attaining your General Ticket :dancingBanana: :thumbsUp:
We have a small informal net 1-2 times a month so stand by for the next SOI.
Interesting eclectic group of folks here from all over the globe. I am totally stoked to see an RN join the group. An added bonus is your are in the 60 year-old range. I too am there along with a handful of other folks on the site. Watch out for JoJo though, as he has told us he is older than dirt! ;)
The sites archives has seven years worth of great stuff in it, so check it out.
Welcome cooter! :cheers:
