Hello Morgan. I'm in Eastern Virginia, just off I-95. You mentioned the magic word. "GUITAR". I'm a retired VDOT Traffic Engineer and was a professional Guitarist for about 20 years. I'm delighted to see that we have a LEO in the Unchained Prepper community. I'm an Advanced Class Ham and started in 1973. When I retired from VDOT in 2002, I went straight to work in a local music store as a Guitar Tech for about 7 years. I started prepping in 2008 when Mr. Nobody, from out of Nowhere, who never did Anything became President. I figured it was time start protecting myself and Family from the looming crash. I used to do HF Digital but for some unknown reason, my ICOM 7300 just won't Transmit it anymore. However, I can bring up Ham Radio Deluxe and open DM 780 and copy it OK. I'm not a fan of VHF/UHF DMR but I do have a dual band DMR handi-talkie and can use DMR if the need arises. There is a good group of folks here and they have all sorts of skills.

Thank you very much for the kind words.  I got the 2008 Mr. Nobody.... :) yeah, I got a few Geetars... for sure. Played in the bars at night and was a cop during the day.  Yeah, never without a GF,  :troutSlap: ha ha.  I got an Icom 7200 ... i really like it.  also a yeasu 857 ... i do mostly digital, very little voice.  Got me some TYT HTs that are now working w/ encryption (shhh).   :fuckYeah:

I do not do ham stuff.  A bit more specific, I can see Sharptop and Flattop out my back window.
