Try this one.  Might then delete back to just the .com/ spot and look at the website in general.

The original links didn't work for me either.  In any case, here's a link to some recommended frequencies, that are essentially the same as the ones that Nemo just posted, so I guess they're common:  https://radiofreeq.wordpress.com/2013/06/29/shtf-survivalist-radio-frequency-list/

Jackalope, you are correct.  That link is cited on the link I posted as the source.

I did not notice it right off but on review you got it.

I am going to move this topic to the Radio Board. Is that OK with you Nemo or do you have a good reason for leaving it here?
Thx

@ Kbop - your image is gone. Maybe you can go to modify and reinsert it.

@ Nemo - Thanks! I am going to sticky this too.

I opened the URL and read the information shown. I've got a similar set off frequencies for SHTF communications, BUT, whoever decided to NOT use the standard and long accepted CB Channel 16 for side band is an idiot. During a life and death situation I will use whatever frequency I can find and not be concerned about RULES. However, that Nimrod, having listed, FREEBAND frequencies causes me to question their leadership abilities and I would not follow them anywhere for any reason.

I know this thread has been around for a while, but since it is stickied it probably deserves a response. Most of the channel 3 frequencies in the chart (FRS, MURS, CB) are from the Channel 3 Project - https://amrron.com/communications-resources/ch3-project/ (https://amrron.com/communications-resources/ch3-project/) which also has a contact method:

Make Contact In 3 – 2 – 1
– 3  (Turn your radio on and set it to Channel 3)
– 2  (Attempt to broadcast for approximately 2 minutes)
– 1  (Attempt again every 1 HOUR, on the hour, to save batteries)

What they have as GMRS17 - 462.6Mhz - is the old GMRS channel 3. Current GRMS 3 is 462.6125 MHz. You might want to be aware of this in case you have a mix of old new radios and are wondering why you're both transmitting on channel 3 and can't hear each other. Amrron uses 462.6125 MHz for GMRS channel 3.

I believe the PMR UHF frequency listed is for European license-free band - essentially their Citizens' Band. I could be wrong on that, but I don't know that would be useful info to have here in the USA.

Many of the frequencies labeled "Prepper" or "Prepper Nets" are AmRRON frequencies, though I don't think those are all accurate anymore, though some are. I think the list may have been made based on the older TAPRN nets, which then got merged into AmRRON.

146.550 MHz was once petitioned to the FCC to be the designated national emergency frequency, but it was denied in 2012.  People still push for this occasionally, which (I assume) is why this would be included on the list. Most everyone else defaults to 146.520 MHz, the national calling frequency.

WOW! I looked at those frequencies and they are from 2013. Originally, there was a channel 4 thing going around but somebody decided to make it a channel 3 thing. OK, no big deal. Now, with all that said, I would tell whoever came up with that BS list to go back and have another think. I'm not going to pick it apart error for error but I'll just say that sticking to the Channel 3 thing for the most part will get you the best results.
