Title: FSQ-ON Button is Yellow
Post by: Hope on July 14, 2024, 03:42:32 PM
I'm running on a linux machine, using flrig, currently have JS8call and Fldigi running at the same time, no problems with them, using Yaeus FT-891 and Pulse Audio.

I am am trying to use FSQ. My problem is the FSQ-ON button is yellow and I'm not sure how to get it to be green. I've checked settings, have a large bandwidth, and I'm on the proper frequencies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Need to move the squelch slider up.

FSQ will not allow you to TX when its yellow, it thinks its receiving something from someone else.

Unfortunately, even with the squelch slider all the way at the top, the FSQ-On button is still yellow. It seems that it is transmitting. I have a list of heard stations and sent a command to one of the stations to send an SNR report and a list of the stations they hear and it worked. But, I know something isn't right because it should be green.

I watched a video today with a guy using Linux and FSQ, his light was also yellow. I guess it does not matter as long as it is working and it seems to be working. I am just gonna let it go.
