Why OCS?  Another option you may never have thought of:  there's nothing dishonorable about being an enlisted man.  Why OCS or nothing?  I was - no shame.  Got my airborne wings, became a sergeant before my first enlistment was up.  Got shot at, too, but hey that's par for the course. :bravo:

Just because I already have a bachelor's degree.  ;)

A Marine is a Marine. They all Lead, Follow, or Get the HELL out of the Way.

Oooookay....

I never said enlisted men don't have bachelor's degrees. I already have one, commissioned officers get paid more with more benefits, and it seems to make sense if I can cut it. What's the issue, here?

No issue, just saying a marine is a marine whether enlisted or commissioned.  A soldier is a soldier in the same way.  My highest honor second to becoming an uncle was being a United States paratrooper in the army; the respect was there whether you were enlisted or officer.  Didn't matter.
