For you folks who have been following this, My wife has been in serious back pain for years to the point where when she walked, she walked with a cane hunched over like a old crow.
Well today MrsMac has gotten her final "blessing" from her surgeon today, post her back operation, that she is good to go and CAN DRIVE - Thank GOD!
I now don't need to shuttle her to stores like:
> Bed Bath and Beyond,
> Christmas Tree Shop,
> Ocean State Job lot,
> New Saigon nail salon,
> Etc, Etc, Etc!
I was joking with her this evening about just this and she said,
"Fine I will just go to...
> Cabela's,
> BassPro,
> Sakonnet River Outfitters,
> Lil'Bear Tavern,
> Etc, Etc, ETC.
...On my own. Can I borrow your Am Ex card?"
After YEARS of pain she is pain free today. Karen is working on her back exercises and the Dr.'s have weaned her off of all of the pain med's she was on FOR YEARS! She has also moved from a half a pack of Lark cigarettes a day to the e-cigarette that she is slowly working herself off of.
She still uses a cane but I think it is a security thing and I suspect she might abandon it once she feel more secure. Although I have seen her chase raccoons with it.
Brigham & Women's hospital in Boston was OUTSTANDING. Her surgeon was great; when no other surgeon would touch her.
Thanks you all for your concern and prayers. God bless.
