A warning
« on: August 22, 2012, 11:57:44 PM »
Well somehow someone got ahold of my CC information and decided to go use it.
They only got me for 40$ and i'll get that money back but still.
The reason i'm posting this is because i ONLY use my CC for online purposes and i recently made a purchase at one retailer.
la police gear . co m
I'm not trashing them yet i'm getting the package i ordered tomorrow and hopefully i'll be good to go.
I believe a employee or a outside source got my info. I the only reason i'm blaming them is because they use yahoo store as opposed to software on their site.
It could of been stolen from a earlier purchase but why would they wait almost 2 months?

My advice is not to buy anything from this retailer for awhile.

Yeah i suspect online purchases is where the majority of CC info is stolen. Who knows how many people are seeing that info as it moves along.

I received my order and everything was ok with it. I'm probably not going to order from them again though.

I've heard of a lot of CC scams lately, some have paid off huge and left hundreds of thousands with problems they have to fix.  Since the economy and moral fabric aren't doing so hott right now, I'd say to expect this kind of thing to be on the rise, just as will shootings and armed robberies.  When the economy is in the pot, expect stuff like that to rise.  Arm yourself legally if you can, everywhere you go.
