I'm up here looking for a job right now, been here only 3 days and have some pretty solid leads. Hope I get that $25/hr warehouse job. Not as desolate a place as I would have thought. It's so economically healthy here everyone is asleep; that's the only down side. These people have no clue anything is wrong because everyone has jobs...
-
Would have thought more people would be awake up there. That's disappointing. Hope you get something soon and get established before anything happens.

If you think you might be staying there, housing prices are starting to go up. Not sure what kind of financial situation your in, but might be a good idea to look into buying a house, or land; sooner, rather than later. And definitely buy a wood chipper, just in case.

Good to hear all is well, now go wake those folks up!

Spoke with 1000meter stare earlier today. Can you say SNOW! He sent me a great picture from his hotel window. Can you say WHITEOUT!
On another note: 1000K told me that there is a lot of good paying jobs there. If you are hurting for work go to NK like he did and will make out very well.
God bless you 1000K!

Good job dude, i wish i could be out there too.

Update: I landed a very good job at a mill that processes barley and oats. Doesn't sound very glamorous but I scored paid housing provided by the company complete with utilities paid (companies here do that to attract out-of-state labor), a generous salary, and fully paid health insurance. So glad I dodged that ObamaCare fine that they levy on the folks who can least afford health insurance. Looks like I will do some milling but mostly paperwork. Paid housing means I have the disposable income to shore up my preps. [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

Figured I'd give a quick update. 1KM has arrived in what he describes as his "super hero" pad. The place sounds very modern/urban/industrial/studio/chic. His boss even helped him unpack and didn't flinch over his preps. [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co Sounds like he's arrived in paradise......a very cold flat paradise [url=http://www.freesmileys.or
He'll be out of touch from the site from what I assume will be a couple weeks while he gets internet. When I say he's "off-grid" that's an understatement.
-
Good for 1KM. I hope it as good out there as i have heard.
-
I spoke with him Friday and he told me that he will not need to set up fire lanes at his new pad as he can see (and shoot) for mile and miles and miles in any direction.
I encouraged 1000 meter to buy a model 99 Barrett 50 BMG with a Leupold Mark 4 M1 Scope so he can reach out and touch those North Dakota zombies, with his first pay check. His .308 just will not do the job past 1000 meters. [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

LOL. My lil brother just got a bad ass Savage in 338 Lappua. Lil more econamical that the .50 BMGs, But just as effective against those northern plains zombies. lol.

So jealous :-[ I was looking at one this week and I nearly wet my pants. The only downside I've seen is ammo pricing. It was already expensive prior to Dec.
