Garden damage on garden
« on: September 04, 2011, 05:49:17 PM »
I had a hail storm that came though three weeks ago.  Its was pea to marble size and enough to make it look like it snowed on the ground.  It did a number on my garden but after  3 weeks only one vegetable didn't survive, watermelon.   The hail destroyed the vines and leaves they would not come back. The Green beans, onions, carrots, lima beans, turnip greens, and celery are coming back.  The hail will just push my harvest back a little.

hey kraut!!! welcome back buddy. I feel your pain on the garden. we're in the middle of a tropical storm right now... not a very strong storm but it's enough to fuck up my squash... hopefully I'll get off my ass and set up a legit garden this coming season.
