Title: Chrome crashed?
Post by: JoJo on September 11, 2019, 01:37:04 PM
I signed into my computer and got three bubbles. The first one said that Chrome crashed, the second said Adblocker crashed and the third said Firefox crashed. When I went to chrome it was gone and I had to reload it buy when I went to Adblocker the web page said it was for sale and couldn't load
Does someone know of a totally free adblocker site?

All looks good to me at AdBlock site.  https://getadblock.com/ (https://getadblock.com/)

Link below may give you some info on your search.  I am not familiar with it at all.

Adblock says I have 18 out of date drivers. I could almost buy a new computer for what they cost.
I guess I'll just have to put up with ads

JoJo, I went to BRAVE for my engine. Dropped FireFox. Ad blocking there is free and does a 95% good job.

I went to my control panel and saw a program that I didn't install so I uninstalled it and adblocker came back.
@JohnyMac Is it Brave.com? I would like to change my browser.

Yes, Brave.com

All the cool, security minded folks are using it. Also, it offers Tor browsing for free which I use on occasion. I am writing a story on Antifa groups here in the states and in the EU. I do not want "them" to do a IP reverse apend search.

Yes I ran a quick scan three days ago and yesterday a full off line scan. It took four hours to do. Nothing both times. Today adblock crashed on google but not on firefox.
Three bubbles came up when I sign on which said google, adblock and norton crashed, but only adblock is gone.

JoJo,

are you using a "ChromeBook"? I believe ChromeBook laptops only accept google products. With Brave not being a Google item youtr computer may not accept it.

Although ChromeBooks are cheaper than a standard laptop of similar stats the reason is Google gotz ya'.

My computer is going crazy. Some days I get a message that Ablock has crashed so I installed another type now SOME days I get two ad blockers. Some days I can't install an ad blocker. I tried a third type and it is working but today I have three ad blockers where yesterday I had none. Today I uninstalled two of them. Lets see what happens now.
Yes I ran a full system scan which found nothing.
