I'm amazed at just how ignorant public figures are. All of a sudden they're hearing about Bump Fire accessories and think they are going to stop people from Bump Firing their semi-autos. I fired a friends Bump Fire stocked carbine and it was exactly as hard to get used to as when I Bump Fired my own non-Bump Fire stocked carbine. I even Bump Fired my pistol. Those idiots need to understand how Bump Fire works before acting like they know all about it. When I bump Fired my weapons, I only did it once because my first thought was, "Well, that was expensive and I didn't hit a damn thing".

A couple o thoughts from old JohnyMac...
All automatic fire has less accuracy unless the weapon mounted on a tripod or other supporting accessory. Automatic fire has it's purpose coming out of a primary however in my opinion it is if you are being over ridden by the enemy.
Anybody with just a passing interest in machinery and a schematic can alter any semi-auto weapon to fire full auto. Heck you could just make a "lightening link" and drop it into your AR.
Last on this subject, unless you have a M16 bolt carrier group in your AR (Legal to use in semi-auto rifles) a bump stock, lightening link, or three stage trigger, your rifle is going to jam.
And yes pkveazey, the ignorance concerning any firearm from Flint-lock to 249 SAW, is astounding. What is even crazier is "they" don't try to learn.

"they" don't try to learn.
Of course not. That's why they call an AR15 an assault rifle. The person that controls the language controls the argument.

So you need to start correcting them when they misspeak on the names of items.
