90% Alcohol and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide

I'll bet that every last one of you have at least one bottle of each of these. Well, that's all well and good but I personally have at least 10 bottles of each. I made a bunch of those little alcohol stoves and expect to use them in a pinch for cooking and heating as well as using the alcohol for sterilizing things. The peroxide is great for killing bacteria and mold and when you can't get mouthwash, its the best thing in the world to use as a gargle. I once had Laryngitis and a nurse gave me some to gargle and the next day I could talk again. If you need alcohol that will burn, it must be higher than 70%. I only buy 90%. I keep one bottle of alcohol and one alcohol stove in each bugout backpack. Don't forget..... Whiskey is also alcohol.

some country neighbors also mentioned to me that they use Hydrogen Peroxide on a cotton ball to help kill the tics (they are bad this year) once they are attached. I have not tried this yet or heard it but am also going to be plussing up on my supply on both of these even if it does not work.

    Hydrogen peroxide, like Bleach loses its potency over time, even if the bottle is unopened.  It's best to rotate stock on a regular basis.  Regarding alcohol, it's great to start with a basic stock, but alcohol, in general, is easy to distill.  Rather than storing a bunch of alcohol, why not store a still?  Or better yet, learn how to use it now, and make your own concoctions.  A still can be used to make essential oils, which often have medicinal properties.

tick tweezers work well on our dog.  :) not quite the mass of fur from your LGD.

to combat loss of potency over time
you can distill alcohol.  making bleach can be done with a car battery, a glass bowl, table salt and some wire. 
i put up a couple of buckets of pool shock to make my own bleach, if needed.
its high school level chemistry.

I want to get a still simply because I would loveeeee to distill my own whiskey. Now I can justify it for prepping :)

I can find ways to make a battery with bleach but nothing going the other way.  Link please.
