At least we are not quite Ireland yet - where objections raised will land you in prison for fomenting trouble with "hate speech".

Yes, the ability to grow, catch & hunt your own food is a huge step in self-sufficiency ( which I am certain is 'racist' to all leftists ).  We live on The Chesapeake Bay, so fish and other high level protein sources are all around us.  Which is good, because our soil at the wee cottage is particularly poor, but improving with work.
