Bought 12 bottles of iso/butane for the pack stove, a collapsible fishing rod and a few hooks, sinkers, swivels and lures to add to the supplies.  Also a couple of the deep ammo boxes from MTM.  Supposedly, fedex has my new IWB holster out for delivery today- its been on order since October, so I wont be suprised if Murphy intervenes again and it doesn't show.  That's what I get for not being Glock-ified I guess.

Exactly.  glockification is the root of all evil.  They do everything they can to draw you into the web of plastic.

Looked for solar install quote (sufficient to amortize its cost by selling power back to the grid, yet independent enough with storage to run the well and refrigerators), cleaning a .22 bolt ejector spring and lubed all, trained dogs.
Will run a corn/malt wash tomorrow or the next day, weather/time permitting.

Picked up 1/4 of a steer and put in a order for 1/2 a steer for pick-up in September. Prime class.

Along with my neighbor, picked up pigs (3) for slaughter & butcher in Spring of 2022. Price is usually $80 to $90 per cut piglet. Today, $125-.

Working on the racking for the solar panels of our new solar system. Once the racking is done then I will start to put the seedling's that are now outside hardening on the porch, into the garden. My garden this year is focusing on basic vegetables like; green beans, rutabagas, pickling cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, etc and less on fru-fru growing's like French cantaloupes, lemon cucumbers, a variety of lettuce, etc.

Had the diesel tank topped off.

Ordered 2, tri-axle of logs for firewood.

Bought a pro Husqvarna chainsaw to use with the new Alaskan Mill I purchased. By the way, the back-order time for the mill is now 7-weeks.

Yet to be done but on the list, have our septic system pumped. I try to have it done every four years whether it is needed or not. I have just entered year five.

Looking into buying 50-gallons of lantern quality Kerosene for our lamps. Probably should look at our lamp spare parts inventory.

Reading into Say's Law. Where inflation is caused in part by turning around monies received by the sale of product immediately to make more product because the monies received is becoming less valuable by the minute. Some economists are using Say's Law to explain why inventory is down and inflation happening. Soon as people get cash (Paycheck or from the government) they are buying "stuff" before the money becomes less valuable. In other words...Inflation.

I want to buy some more chicks as our older hens are passing on to the big perch in the sky. Need to do some additional research on how to introduce chicks to the flock so they are not bullied.

The list is growing smaller.  ;D I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, it is not the light of a oncoming train.

The last week I got hit hard by the " Do I really have enough of that" bug. Well, the answer is yes, but a little more never hurts, right?
Picked up some ammo in various calibers/gauges that had relatively decent prices and one that didn't since its a rare around here as an honest Democrat (cough .410), added to the food stash (rice, beans, etc..), plus a bulk order of spices from Vitacost (I should have enough pepper to last until my kids retirement-lol). Rotated out some medical items as well- something I've put off doing for a while. Also picked up a few more yard tools for redundancy (2 is 1 kinda thing). Also put up a fair amount of kindling.

Bought a bunch of medical tape to stock pile and basic wound care kit for around the house.

Starting to stock up on packages of t shirts, socks, n underwear I'd need for work n daily life not necessarily shtf life on a farm or security work.

Six of the 12 handi-talkies that I ordered showed up today and I programmed all 6 of them to pass out to my neighbors. I chatted a bit with 2 of my neighbors about the expected bad stuff coming down the road in the near future. I told them that I would be passing out one handi-talkie to each household and what frequency they should keep them tuned to. As I pass them out I'll give them more details about how to use them and even how to connect outside base station antennas to them. Any extra batteries, antennas, speaker mikes, etc. will be their problem. Even though we are way out in the country, all of my close neighbors are located pretty close together so stronger antennas aren't really needed. Now....... Why do I have 6 more Handi-Talkies coming? Cause radios break and when the SHTF I won't be able to get them.

Passed out two Handi-Talkies to two neighbors today and have a bunch more to pass out. They're all programmed up and ready for SHTF. When I programmed them, I put the same message on all of them. As soon as you turn them on the first thing that shows up on the screen is SHTF RADIO.

Rototilled one of the garden areas for next spring, put away tomato cages and fencing for next year.  Also checked out a couple of recently received UV-5R's, making sure they're operational and frequency agile.  Repacked them and made sure each one had an extra battery and a USB charging cable.  On the next rainy day, I'll program them.  They're all programmed the same for consistency, which helps with training and with daily operations.

Repainted a Faraday cage.  Put away water hoses, as the colder weather approaches.  Did some research regarding long term water filtering and purification.  Checked fittings on another IBC tank that we acquired.  Now, I need to build another tower stand for the tank, which doubles our storage capacity.

Ordered a multi-fuel heater for the shop, another small wind turbine, as well as some all-metal rat traps and a 10-pack of "Yo Yo" automatic fishing reels. Took the summer cap off the chimney, ran the brush through the flue for good measure.

Ordered underwear, socks, and a hunting sheath knife for MrsMac which will be a Christmas present for her. Built racking in the basement for canned goods. Sorting through my canned goods and discarding cans with old exp. dates. Anything with tomatoes, I throw out if over exp. date by 2-years. Vegetables and meat, I throw out if over exp. date by 5-years. Smelling all opened flour and throwing out any if it has a musty odor.

Bottom-line, getting ready.

Well, let's see..... Yesterday, I went out in the back yard, which happens to be on the South side of the House, and I took measurements along the side of the back deck hoping to find the best spot to mount my Solar Panels. I came to the conclusion that If the Sun would just stay in one spot all the time, then it would be easy to find the best spot. Then I came back inside and decided to wait until my Carpenter friend gets his strength back from being sick so he can come over and help me mount the panels.

I made a run to town today to try to find some decent Stereo Speakers. I have a killer Kenwood Stereo that a friend gave me and I don't need it. My Grandson is a Computer Wiz and likes to play Games on his computer but he hates the little computer speakers that he's using. He mentioned to the wife and I that he would love to have a huge Stereo system connected to his computer like I have. I'll post a picture. Anyway, I hunted through several Thrift shops and Pawn Shops and got lucky at the last thrift shop. I found a matched pair of SONY stereo speakers for $30. I brought them home and connected the speakers to the Kenwood and it sounded great. I asked the wife if she wanted to come into the Hobby Room and hear them and she said that she heard them and so did all the neighbors. Damn, I only had it cranked halfway up. His birthday is on the 13th so I'll try to get with him on or about his birthday to give the system to him. Now, I told you that so I could tell you this: Whlie I was in one of the Junk Shops, I found brand new, still in the wrappings, 50 foot rolls of 1/4" Copper tubing and 1/2" Copper tubing. I grabbed the 1/4" roll and asked how much was it. They wanted $3 a pound for it so I bought it. I probably should have bought the two rolls of 1/2" also but I don't like J Poles and thats what I would have used it to build. I'll use the 1/4" stuff to build Basketball radials and 1/4 wave spikes for 2 meter, 220, and 440 antennas. I hate building antennas out of Aluminum but that's usually all that's available. Copper antennas should be killers. OH, while I was in the Junk shop, I also bought 3 Aluminum Screw together 6 foot pipes for $30. When I got home I tore down the bullshit antenna that I have connected to my ICOM IC-R7000 (25 Mhz to 1000 Mhz) all mode receiver. I screwed them all together and added the 6 foot garbage pipe to the top that has the antenna on it. It looks better and performs better now. The antenna is now up about 23 feet to the bottom of the antenna.

I've been trying to start a new business but without start up funds it won't happen so I've decided to look for a new job. What does this have to do with preps? MONEY and piece of mind in order to focus on other prepping needs
