Had a SureFire 3P-Eliminator-5.56 flash suppressor installed on my AR. Bagged up 8lbs pasta and a large canister of granulated garlic.
I have to try out the suppressor this week.

I you get a backhoe to go on it, and need a hole dug let me know.  I love playing with things like that.

No Nemo, they wanted $9k for the backhoe. I need to find one cheap at an auction or private sale.

Having worked on many Kobota's at work I learned one thing. No matter how will you grease the pins they wear out fast. So when buying used check for pin wear. Not hard to replace but it could get expensive.

Meant to say IF above.  Thought I hit the "modify" button but that disappeared and this one won't.

I think maybe the title should be "this week" since that's often a better indicator of readiness efforts.

So here is my week:
I had a great week for readiness so I will put it down (I think a week is a better indicator than "a day")
3 Ruck marches and 1 very long and hard pistol class where I got really challenged.

Picked up a butchered 1/2 a steer today I ordered last November. Smallish size, with it being 200 #'s hanging weight.

So we have 1 1/2 butchered pigs and half a steer in the freezers right now. Plus an assortment of other protein like chicken, turkey, veal, and lamb.

My wife is getting scared of all that's happening and asked to go to the gun club.  So I took her and had her shoot my 10/22, she has natural trigger squeeze and a good eye. She wants to shoot pistol but must start at the bottom and work up to it.

pulled out my get home / car kit checked everything and replaced the food & cyalume sticks.  Added a spool of nylon twine and replaced a used roll of D-Tape.  I made sure the wheels on the fold down hand truck still worked.

Watched my wife get her CCW in the mail today and tuck it in her purse, along with Tillie.  I made her name her EDC.  Remember that Charter Arms Mag Pug I noted here about 6 weeks ago?

Some great stuff gents

Me, I didn't put on any winter weight this year and as of last Friday I am 10 pounds from my goal weight wise. Did it through walking and keeping my carbs between 100 - 150 a day. Averaging ~125.

Now with summer here, the other 10 pounds will melt off with all of the crap I have to do to get ready for the winter months like:

> Gardening,
> Cutting, splitting and then stacking wood,
> House and yard maintenance,
> Building a couple of elevated deer blinds and a chicken house,
> and.........

I bought a blow up boat. The wife was griping until she saw that it could carry 400 lbs, had oars, a double action air pump, repair kit, and was almost 7 feet long. Then she said that I have to go back and buy a second one because she wants her own boat. I guess she has a point because if we both get in the same boat, then where are we going to put our BOB and other supplies? Its not a toy but its also not a bulletproof Kevlar boat either.

That is tooooo cooool pkveazey!

Don't forget PFD's. (Personal Flotation Devise). Here is the one I like as you just wear it like a belt and if you need it you pull the rip cord and the vest fills with co2 from a small canister in the belt.

Paddle upriver.  I could use another rifle at the farm.  Relatives 450 acres with about 100 head of angus.
