Title: URL Issues? Security issues ?
Post by: Nemo on February 15, 2021, 08:05:17 AM
around here.  My bookmark has no HTTPS://www (http://HTTPS://www).

All comes in here fine no issues.  On a whim I typed that in a few minutes ago and got the response below.  It is a standard response I get on occasion.

Yupper. That is because of the 'S'. Like, http:// vs. https:// As of 2014-ish if the 'S' is not part of the address some browsers will flag it as a possible security risk.

Hope that explains it.

Explains it--yes.

But it is a security threat?  I figure yes regarding govt abc's and the like but general crooks and those folks too?
