Civil War between Blacks for Political Power?

Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) was confronted by rival group  Practical Radical Economic Transformation (PRET) and resulted in a riot in Emalahleni.

I'm not supprised, a power vacuum was left after Nelson Mandela died.  IMHO it started earlier.
The ANC was never a homogenous group and had several power changes, some violent, during apartheid - when their goals aligned.

and so it goes.

I see a few headlines...

But so much more lies in wake...
Here are a few more for those who missed it.
FYI-everyone is now anxiously awaiting the bomb to go off.

This one is regarding the "coal shortage" that there most definately is not.
https://m.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/eskoms-big-coal-whopper-20181204

Then there is this one, regarding Eskom
Also if you know how much power is being stolen with illegal connections in townships-disaster awaits us.
"During a media workshop about its current tariff applications this week, Eskom Generation Group middle manager Brad Ross-Jones revealed that Eskom has closed 11 of the 25 generation units at three of its power stations – Grootvlei, Komati, and Hendrina. That’s almost half the generation capacity of these three."
https://www.moneyweb.co.za/news/south-africa/eleven-power-station-units-out-of-action-due-to-eskom-financial-woes/

Yet my fellow countrymen continue to joke and laugh about it, i feel like i no longer can laugh about it.

I attached some of the jokes and translated the pictures:
1.eskom's new multiplug
2.Baught R50 prepaid power at my local tuckshop
3.is too depressing to even explain but it is in english

I presume the money is in South African Rand (ZAR) and that 404,201 is only $28,493 USD.

Hail, some CEOs here make that in a day or half a day.

But its still a big freaking lot to me in ZAR or USD numbers.

I wouldn't find it that humorous given the consequences of it getting much worse. Shows how brainwashed the world is.

I guess its a good thing in some ways. The more people living in denial, the smaller the crowds trying to jump on the lifeboats.

Yea, I just checked. Appearently the Boer newspaper article was poorly researched. The chief engineer of the plant contacted the video poster and promised an interview soon to explain things.

Pretoria East power outage leaves thousands in the dark

A substation failure has been identified as the cause.

A large portion of Pretoria East was plunged into darkness on Tuesday morning, disrupting the morning commute and infuriating residents

Update (10:45, 4 June): The City of Tshwane has assured residents that repairs will be completed by 14:00. So far, power has been restored to the following areas:

Wingate
Aries
Kloofsig
Mirage
De Hoewes
Waltloo
Mooikloof
Naturally, disgruntled residents, who say the blackout came swiftly and without proper warning or explanation, have taken to social media to voice their frustrations. According to locals, the worst affected areas are in Pretoria East and the Moot.

Pretoria power outage: Affected areas

The City of Tshwane released a statement concerning the outage, ostensibly, after receiving a barrage of complaints. According to the municipality, a technical fault at a local substation caused the widespread blackout. The City of Tshwane explained:

“Various surburbs in Pretoria East and Centurion without power due to a 132kV trip at the Njala substation. Technicians attending to problem.”

Both the City and residents have reported powerlessness in the following areas:

Villieria
Waverley
Hatfield
Brooklyn
Garsfontein
Elarduspark
Murrayfield
Wingate Park
Moreleta Park
Faerie Glen
Mooikloof
Wapdrand
Waltloo
Mamelodi
The power outage has wreaked havoc on the daily commute, leading to major congestion on all roads in Pretoria East. Traffic lights are not functional and, as such, motorists are advised to treat all intersections as four-way stops.

The City of Tshwane has urged all commuters to travel with caution.

When will power be restored?
While technicians investigate the substation fault and, according to the City, work tirelessly to resolve the issue, no estimated time of completion has yet been given.

This is a developing story – check back for updates

This YouTube vid has footage of the substation explosion.
