Financially, looks like we are in the opening scenes of a Hollywood disaster movie.
Question is, who can swim, who can survive exposure to prolonged cold.
Could say, "It begins".
But unlike Nostradamus, most of us find pegging the exact time is difficult like Berra said, "making predictions is hard, especially when they're about the future".
Canned another batch today.
While my IRA took a thorough bath.
Might be too poor to pay much attention but I _now_ have some very nutritious salvage from a garden that was hit by early frost... Ball Canning book recipe for Green Tomato-Hot Pepper pickles!

"Ready" is a relative thing.
We don't know what we don't know. And while rogue waves are "rare", they do happen.
But with a squall in the horizon, the mercury falling fast, everything furled and secure, some sustaining food already prepared and the watch set... a measure of cautious confidence is warranted.
Sleep well tonight, mates.
We deal with tomorrow (or our watch) when it comes.
(Tomorrow I fly to God-Awful So-Cal for a dog test I wish I had never agreed to judge those many months ago. Please pray the world holds together long enough for me to make the flight home on Monday morning...)
