I have a Neodymium Magnet to do a Slide test on Silver Coins and I have a Scale to make sure Troy ounces show 1.097 regular ounces. That's all well and good but I now have downloaded an app to my phone called PING COIN and you look for the coin you want to test on their list and tap the coin with a hard but not metal object and the ring will tell you if it is real or not. Any Silver Stackers out there are certainly familiar with the Indian Head/Buffalo rounds. Well, that company also mints the one-ounce rounds that look like a Mercury Dime. Since it wasn't on the list, I checked it as if it was a BUFFALO round and it worked. Since I got the Phone App, I've tried to only buy Rounds that are on the list. I mentioned this App because there is a massive ramp up in fake Silver Coins and Bars. The APP is free.
