The efficiency of air conditioning systems continues to improve. Here is a DIY system that is designed to run on solar. Has anyone had experience with this company? Seems like a good product for HAM Shacks and Mini-Homes. Did I say "Mind Blowingly Well Designed"?
Airspool Quick 'n' Easy MS12 $1800.00 (12,000 BTU) solar air conditioner/heater. The first true DIY hybrid mini split.

Www.practicalpreppers.com (http://Www.practicalpreppers.com) sells similar mini-splits that are DIY products. Several of the units run on DC, and others are made specifically for solar electric systems. We?re considering one of the mini-splits for our new home.

In the video (linked ☝) the installer operates his split unit directly from solar. I get the impression that he installs slpit systems professionally, and that he places a high value on the airspool because he's installing it in his own home. He said that this particular unit was the most well engineered DIY unit that has has co.e across thus far.
I'm just getting into the research of split units, but I'm familiar enough with solar power systems to see the pros.
