January 5, 2021 Executive Order 13971


President Trump signed a new Executive Order # 13971 on January 8, 2021, titled, Addressing the Threat Posed by Applications and Other Software Developed or Controlled by Chinese Companies.

EO # 13971 is to add to EO # 13873 (Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain) which he signed on May 15, 2019.
