Ok,
Now we see what happens next. One and done, or a full on shooting war with the Russians.
Best to get some cash out, fill up the gas tanks, maybe get a little extra beer too.
  Everybody stay tight.

I'm hearing whispers online that a shitload of anti-Assad jihadist got taken out during the strikes. They.climbed outta their holes hoping to capitalize and the Syrians and Russians were lying in wait.

I agree with Lewisp's suggestion; However, that should be standard operating procedure day in and day out. Especially the beer part.  ;)

Now if a retaliation is launched, I suspect it will be in the Middle East and not on Continental US soil. Remember, we have over 2,000 US military on Syrian soil.

With that written, I do believe their will be retaliation on the interwiz. A great example is what Deathstyle has shared with the group. I AM NOT picking on Deathstyle just be aware of the source of what you read or hear.

Peace!

from what i have heard - the Russians were told in advance and Syria moved some assets onto Russian bases.  same thing as last time.  I would get worried when the strikes target the Russians directly -

Kbop, thx for the info.

With that written, be careful what you read/hear as some fake news will be spread about not unlike 'Toe Poppers' (M14 AP mines) around a VC whorehouse.

Two Russian warships laden with military vehicles have been spotted en route to Syria after Friday's US-led airstrikes obliterated three suspected chemical weapons sites.

An Alligator-landing ship was pictured cruising down The Bosphorus on Sunday as the world awaits Vladimir Putin's response to this week's co-ordinated military action against Syria.

The vessel was spotted on its way to the Russian naval base at Tartus on the north Syrian coast.

On its fourth deployment of Russian military equipment to the war-torn country the ship was seen laden with tanks, trucks, ambulances and an IED radar.

A yellow RoRo Alexandr Tkachenko was also pictured heading for Tartus carrying high-speed patrol boats, a temporary bridge structure and several trucks. The images were posted on social media by Bosphorus-based naval observer Yörük Işık.

They come in wake of Friday's US-led campaign against Bashar al-Assad's regime and a chemical weapons attack that brutally murdered 75 civillians.

Putin's playing a deadly game. President Trump can't be bluffed. We'll see soon enough what happens next, doesn't bode well.
I have to hurry up and finish my Faraday cage.

Been thinking on this a bit and am concerned that the West might be missing something here a bit.

One strength of a nation can be measured by how self sufficient it is.

Now yes in the modern world there are a great many things that can affect this equation. This is how different countries are able to influence each other through things like economic sanctions and such.

However there is a dynamic that is not as evident in the viewpoint being presented to us by our political and news entities.

A nation can be strong in a self sufficient if it is able to sustain its population after a major disaster or such.

Now without getting into the merits of other countries I do see Russia as scoring pretty high in this equation.

Russia as a whole it greatly less dependent on the technology of the modern world than those of the West.

Russia has a large land mass with more than enough room to settle people displaced by disaster. This also provides for a strong score in ability to feed the populace.

So while I do not advocate backing down from confrontation. I do hope that our powers that be can recognise that Russia is potentially more resilient to the fallout of confrontation than is being expounded in speeches and in the press.

Russia may not fear the West as much as many would like to believe. It also may be more able to withstand the consequences of a military conflict as well.

Just thinking out of the box a bit.

Cheers all

Over the weekend I have developed a new theory on this whole thing. In essence the action was to do one thing and one thing only - To reinforce Mr. Trumps 'tough guy' persona.

This persona will help the Administration when they meet with the NORKS next month. It is also to give a warning to China or any other entity who might think about doing something stupid. Iran and yes Russia to a degree comes immediatly to mind.

What was bombed, in my opinion, was minimal to what they could have bombed. The desire to minimize Syrian and especially Russian casualties was very apparent.

As a side note: Trumps approval continues has gone up.  http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration/trump_approval_index_history (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration/trump_approval_index_history)

I agree Johny, and Trump is cleaning up the mess that Obama made.  If Trump draws a line in the sand, you do not want to go over it.  I still don't like the idea of bluffing with nukes, and I'm concerned that Vlad may have his own line in the sand.

He has learned to play politics well. The attack in my opinion was also to take the news of off Comey's book, to scare those in NAFTA, and take the news away from using soldiers to build part of the boarder wall besides everything you said.

 Russia to launch cyber warfare?

Not a statement but a speculation from Mike Clark that Russia might cyber attack the UK. Something to think about.
