Title: Introductions
Post by: Burt Gummer on August 27, 2011, 06:21:51 PM

Whether if you are new to the site or a old timer, it's never to late to tell your fellow interwebz warriors a bit about yourself. This will enhance the conversation you'll have on the site, because the rest will know where you're drawing your experience from.
And for you SAS operators & Rhodesian Rambo mercenaries out there don't even try fudging it up we'll find out.

Members are reminded to make sure they don't reveal identifying info, enjoy your privacy guys because once it's gone it's gone.

I'll start off with my introduction.

I?ve lived damn near all over the world and have seen more than my share of shit.  I moved from Europe to the US as a kid and even than realized how much freer things are over here and loved it even though everyone that already lived here couldn?t appreciate it? Why I don?t know?
Early on in high school I became an individualist, this is probably what prevented me from falling in the liberal socialist mindset?
out of high school I enlisted and deployed all over the damn place again. With my history I had a different perspective than everyone else which allowed me to see beyond what was spoon fed to me? Perhaps this is why the army wasn?t a good match for me. Although I had a blast?. (with all possible pun intended.)

Just out of the Army I felt myself drawn the liberty/patriot movement almost instantly, at which point I started ?waking up? as most folks call it now. I took the red pill and went head first down the rabbit hole with a firm resolution not to become that tinfoil hat guy, and to stick to my principles? I did not take what was laid forth to me at face value so I started doing my own research, I studied up on Austrian economics and libertarian political thought with was in lockstep with free market principles. And so I fell in love with the philosophy of liberty, now I?m an ardent libertarian and free market believer, and I find myself in the smallest group in the US and now understand why this country is falling apart at the seems.

It is partial neglect on our part, and also by intelligent design by those who have no regard for yours or mine inherent right to a free life.

So I find myself compelled to resist in what ever why I find possible, whether it is prepping to fend of starvation by design or disseminate information online to those that remain blissfully ignorant cheering on their favorite political team, and wondering if Lindsey Lohan is going back to rehab. It?s sad really, I can?t help but feel sorry for the poor fuckers. Even those that presume they woke up like the sorry sobs in the Tea Party, just entertaining the idea of liberty while they vote in people like Michelle Bachmann or Rick Perry

In my opinion it is the intelligent design what ever you want to call it? Illuminati, NWO, Sesame Street. The name doesn?t? really matter.
That which we have a human obligation to resist, to refuse this assimilation into a society that sucks the freedom right out of you whether it is through the income tax, TSA or social security just to name a few. If we don?t our kids will grow up in a cage helpless to do anything about it because they won?t know any better. And will be screwed.

I am not a seer nor do I have a crystal ball, and so there is always possibility that a prison society won?t be created, and things will just be allowed collapse on their own, which will leave us to our own malice which is why I prepare for as much as I can.

Awesome topic...    ;)

505th.NM.Militia reporting for duty.  I'm a digital media student at university, studying how to make shit like this forum, and @thatguyisms on youtube work the way they do.  Unfortunately I live in one of the poorest/dumbest/worst states in the union where WROL is a way of life.  Stuck between illegal immigrants doing whatever the fuck they want (and why not they are already "riding dirty,") to good people, forced to lie cheat and steal to scratch out an existence, its good to have a moral baseline like the preparedness community values to keep me on track.

My true passion is creating art and objects with my hands.   I believe that the mind is the deadliest weapon, and I use art as a tool in the fight for my interests.  Luckily my interests include prepping, shooting, surviving, and having a great time doing it, hence, this awesome site.

Visit my personal website http://www.iambecomedeath.com (updates and new art coming soon hopefully.)

Hi.  My name is Outonowhere and I'm an Al... oh wait, wrong forum.

I won't be doing anything as fancy or in depth as TCS... I'm just not that deep... LOL

I'm just a man living life, preparing for the future and trying to connect with those like me and assist them in preparing in whatever way I can.  I'm not a veteran, I've never been overseas.  All the information that I have and put out is stuff that I have learned either through research and learning from others.

     Hey guys StraitJacket here,

I'm  35 years old. I'm an industrial contractor, "fancy way for saying I move around form place to place fixing large equipment, anything with an engine or battery operated." I have 16 plus years in my current field. I have no military background, had plenty of family and friends that served and always thought I would have as well, not sure what happened along the way, life I guess.
Grew up in Ohio now reside in the land of Lincoln, although you wouldn't be able to tell it now. Ive been hunting, fishing and camping since I can remember and have been shooting almost as long. I come from humble roots , a place and time  were a mans word meant something, I really enjoy prepping and learning from everyone. lookin forward to it .

Hey guys, the name's Skippy.

Some may remember me from the L&L forums.  I'm a 19 year old non-military college student, and I've been prepping for a little over a year and a half now; however the preps have slowed ever since I moved away to school.  The L&L community really helped me out in starting my preps and I've gain a multitude of knowledge along the way. I'm sure this site will continue the good work and I'm looking forward to being back in the community again.

Boonedawg...you can call me boonie, everyone else does. Navy vet, have 3 kids and a mean ass wife. I've had a bad feeling in my gut for a couple years and know this shit isn't going to end well. Being the stubborn bastard I am I'm not going quietly and am doing what I can to make sure my family is going to make it through whatever is coming. Just glad that we have a forum back to still hang out with like minded patriots.

Post by: rah45 on August 29, 2011, 08:42:13 PM
I'm rah45. I'm from the old L&L forums, and have known most of the older members for months if not over a year. We've gotten close, or as close as you can on teh interwebz.

I grew up doing whatever my parents, and the system, told me to do. I got good grades in school, and kept my head buried in video games. Life was about friends, lots of video games and a little paintball for my teenage years. I didn?t really start thinking more deeply about things until after my wife and I had our daughter, which occurred when I was 21. Luckily for me, her father is very informed politically, and through discussion with him and just being around them I gradually awakened to the fact that something was wrong with my country. The machine mentality of supporting our country no matter what, that it is great just to be called an American, was finally obliterated. I began to question, and the more I did I realized just how un-American living in the system really is. I realized that questioning every single thing my government does is the single most American thing I can ever do. So began my introduction into the wider reality of our current predicament.

I do not have a lot of knowledge regarding prepping skills. I have been a couch potato most of my life and it shows in my lack of experience and tactile knowledge. However, what I can do well is communicate effectively with other people and explain things well once I learn them myself. That is one reason I am training to be a teacher. I believe that I can do some good by emphasizing that students should open their eyes and realize that history is relevant to today, and that we?re making history right now. I hope that they will realize they should look at what is happening around them. This is what I hope to accomplish in my job.

In my personal life, I would like to get into better physical, mental and emotional shape to prepare for any disasters that may befall my country. I do not pretend to be smart enough to judge what will happen, but I think that an economic collapse is most likely. I want to be able to provide for my family, serve as a valuable member of a community or at least a group of like-minded people, and help rebuild my community. I believe that unconstitutional actions by those in authority (federal, state or local) or by my fellow citizens should be aggressively decried and punished. I believe in defending the U.S. Constitution (CONUS), which to me also guarantees that all my desires and everything important to me will also be preserved. It?s time to become involved. It?s time to learn even more. It?s time to prepare.

Hey guys, I found this place via HossUSMC's youtube channel. I read but never joined L&L's fourm. I am 45 years old, I retired after 24 years in the Army. I work (very) part time as a personal trainer and have worked a few times as a guest instructor at my buddys fledgling firearms training and tactics company. I live in northern Minnesota in a county that has seen negative population growth for several years now and thats just how I like it. I am about as bugged out as one can be in the lower 48 and still be connected lol. I am single and never married and I admit I am an extreme loner but still I feel the need to share information with others. It's coming and it's going to be bad. Every value I was raised to respect has been tossed out the window and this country cant go on for long like that. Stay frosty my friends.

I don't even want to be here, Ive quit all the other boards that the Feds are on or watching. This one is no better.

I stopped by to teach you all about reloading, One of my favorite things I can do with me clothes on.

Some of my pet pevs:

They ARE NOT weapons, they are FIREARMS and protected by the 2nd amendment.
They become weapons only if you use them as such.

Call your firearm thier name, not what you want them to be. There are no M16, M14, or AK-47s on this board. If you have a class III, I doupt you would be hangin here.

The prepper montra:

Stop saying you getting ready for WROL or SHTF, or invasion from little green men.

When asked why, just tell them, "The reason I prepare is for My and My Famlies PEACE OF MIND".

wow... what bullshit.

there's a difference between staying lawful and bowing for your masters. remaining lawful has nothing to do with what types of WEAPONS you own. if you want to cower behind every little bullshit interpretation of 2A and let them unconstitutionally dictate your supposed "rights" then be my guest, but don't lecture me about the language I should and shouldn't use. I know my rights, and I know what's legal and illegal. No one here is doing anything wrong by speaking their mind, and the day that THAT becomes illegal... well... that's when you know we have serious problems.

This ain't about little green men, and I question the motives of anyone who would compare it to something so silly.

If you don't want to be here, then leave. We can do without your reloading advice if the cost of it is the pollution of our community from riff-raff like this.

Came from LnL. Found this site through hossusmc. I'm 25 Just got started back at work at lake city again. Was unable to prep before or at the most very very minimal due to lack of funds. I consider myself to have a good bank of knowledge on guns and handloading. After that I'm here to learn.

Wow, someone with opinions.  Not many around here with opinions are there guys?  Johnny Tremain please do offer what ever advice you think would be valuable.  Just realize the guys that are on here regular aren't really the types that go for being told what to do.
Cheers.

G'day, Combollian here, aka Pool Guy from the former MrLnL forums. Found this site through HossUSMC, guess we could consider this as a test of the prepper communities regrouping abilities.  I've got a YT channel, links in the sig. Check it out if you feel like it.
About me
25, male, Australian, Soldier, husband, I'm quiet, I observe the world around me, only give my opinion when I feel it can help and I prepare not because I want the world to change, I do it so if it changes for the worst, I have the means to fix it.
