2A SCOTUS Decison
« on: June 14, 2024, 06:51:55 PM »
Great win.

CARGILL is out. Bump stock. 6-3 ruling, ATF exceeded authority declaring a bump stock was a regulatable/prohibitable machine gun.

BIG WIN!.

Congress must do this stuff. It is not a 2A matter but something that needs to be handled by Congress and not the administrative state.

Makes me feel good about the other 2 cases coming up.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

2 more BIG 2A cases are waiting on decision being issued.

Rahimi is a guy with domestic violence orders against him, thus under the law he has no 2A rights.

Question basically is can 2A (solid constitutional) rights be stripped by a hearing, without counsel provided by court, based only on complaint and testimony of plaintiff.  The burden of proof is basically what the judge believes and often granted just to help protect her from violence.

Also is Vanderstok.  This is the one that says 80% lowers need serial numbers and such.  It basically prohibit and considers a block of aluminum that can be machined into a stripped lower a firearm if it is sold without serial number and 4473 involved.

New cases likely out Monday.

There is Rahimi (domestic violence civil ban on 2A rights), and Vanderstok (80%) lower case to be heard on 2A issues.

Loper Bright is also a big one that is questioning defering to govt depts to make the determination regarding what the law means.

RB in GA: I remember it well. There were 2 things that jumped out at me during Trumps administration. The first was his dumbass move to ban bumpstocks. The second was how he was very knowledgeable about how our economic system was all screwed up and how we were headed for economic meltdown. Bam! Then he got elected and all of a sudden, he fell right in line with the overspending and massive printing of money. My take on that was, as soon as he took office, the Federal Reserve, which is not a Federal agency must have set him down and explained the facts of life to him and made him aware that the FEDERAL RESERVE owns and operates the US. Other than that, I felt like he was a decent President. Now, am I a Trump fan? Hmmmm.... Sort of. When you compare him to President poopy pants, it's no contest. Would I want Trump to be my friend? I don't think so. I think I could get along with him if I had to work alongside of him but he sure as Hell wouldn't be my fishing and hunting buddy.

I suspect many do.  But I also hope he knows better now.

Monday morning 1000 be sure to be watching, listening or however receiving info from a major news source.

Fox and CNN both watch the clock for this.

It will take <5 minutes for the first decision to come out, if any are.  Then the rest over the next 10-15 minutes, if any more.  Likely no more than 3.

Look for Rahimi and Vanderstok.  Those are the 2A cases left.

I wonder how many people remember that the bump stock ban was Trump's....

How many remember that he also never signed anything to make things worse for the 2A? Or how the price of everything was much less under his administration? Or how the United States was energy independent for the first time ever? Or how he got the wall started? Or that he had this Country on such a fantastic path that the china virus had to be released to suppress "The People"?

Trump signing the bump stock law pissed me off just like Reagan signing the assault weapons ban (brady bill) back in the 80's and creating the education funding dept (I dont remember what they are called at the moment). None of them are perfect
