Well, first of all I have something similar to that, but I don't carry it. I believe in the KISS principle, so having something electronic, that needs to charged is complicating matters. Matches have worked well for many decades. A magnifying glass, or a piece of ice made into a concave shape will start a fire. The old bow friction method works too. It would be fine at a fixed location, not so much when traveling. They are interesting, but I wouldn't depend upon it in a survival situation.

In my BOB or GHB I carry matches, Bic lighter, and a magnesium Fire Starter for heat and a 35-mm* film canister loaded with cotton balls that had been soaked in petroleum jelly for fuel.
During my 'leatherstocking' period, I use to make fire with a hunk of . flint, a fire steel, and cotton char (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RujU7rhNrjk).
