This is an update on jump starting my SUV. Once I got the SUV started, I went and got my Multimeter and checked to see if my SUV produced more than 13.8 VDC. Yep, it produced 14.8ish volts. The LiFePo4 batteries instructions say that 13.8 won't charge them. They need 14.2ish VDC. When I saw that, I went in the house and got the other one out and connected them in parallel so the SUV could charge them to full charge. After about 30 minutes I disconnected them and took them back in the house. The funny thing was, I measured the voltage at the car battery terminals and got about 14.8 volts. But when I measured at the LiFEPo4 terminals I got 13.5ish volts. Hmmmm.... Maybe the jumper cables aren't making proper contact. I disconnected one terminal and it read 14.8 volts. Oh, well, it's sending 14.8 to the batteries but the batteries internal circuitry must be limiting it to 13.5ish. According to the instructions, the batteries have all sorts of internal protection circuitry. My plan right now is to use the 3 Battleborn batteries for emergency power through a 5000-watt 240 volt inverter for the house and use the WattCycle batteries for other more portable duties.
