Title: WTT: .223/5.56 2498 rounds *sold*
Post by: Grudgie on January 24, 2013, 01:27:46 AM
 SOLD LOCALLY

I have the following for trade. I would really like an Arsenal in 7.62x39 with a few mags. Particularly a Bulgarian. Also open to other Aks.

- 1460 rounds of Tulamo 55 gr. FMJ. 260 were loaded in mags and then taken out.

- 538 rounds of Tulamo 62 gr. HP. 18 were loaded in mags and then taken out.

- 500 rounds of Herters 62 gr. HP. These are Russian steel cased and are identical to the Tulamo.

So you've got a couple hundred dollars worth of ammo and you want to trade for an Arsenal Ak?

2500 rnds @ .20 a round is $500 thats a very conservative calculation at the current going rate. but if youd be willing to take the $500 im sure aroind 1 milion people are interested.

Good luck.
You'll need it.

Although i did just trade a complete lower (I only had $250 in) and 6 USGI mags (that i got for free) for a new Saiga 7.62x39, so it's not impossible.

I believe I will just trade it locally for guns and then sell the guns. It will be easier selling guns than a bunch of bullets. It seems like a dozen different people just want a handful of boxes each and they all live within a 2 hour radius. Plus considering the nearest ups is an hour away.

Technically hes being forced to bring up his price in order to get what is a fair trade because others have price gouged.

How am I price gouging if I am not forcing anyone to buy?

My bullets pre scare trade value are not worth anyone's post scare trade value.

To be fair you are trying to trade ammo at today's prices for a gun at last month's prices.
It is a little ridiculous.

That being said this is a free country and you aren't forcing anything on anyone.

Arsenals have gone up man, good luck getting ANY AK-type rifle for the value of your ammo.

Pre scare prices were around $900 used for an SLR 106. The same gun is now going for around $1500. I give my ammo a trade value of about $1250. Let me know what you have to trade and boot will be added or subtracted to make even.

and just to brag about it more the case i traded for it, I just got at a greatly discounted price, like $150 bucks for the case! I had intentions of selling said rifle at an inflated price but my dad wanted it so he got it at my cost!

Went to a gun show in Deland,FL this weekend.  I was amazed to see by Saturday afternoon that .223 and 7.62x39 were both marked at a dollar a round.  That's right, $1000 per case.  At those prices I doubt there will be a shortage of ammo for long.  No one will be looking to buy.

I have been looking at buying spent brass casing's (Thx TG) from the military. I was just told that the defense department does not allow military complexes to sell spent brass casing's as of Jan 1, 2013. They must be destroyed on site and sold for to the highest bidder for the brass.

Ni metal mongers want it as it is "dirty." Dirt, carbon and the primer that is not brass.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at
