Title: Slide mod for optic
Post by: foki on December 17, 2016, 01:14:32 PM
Is anyone on here a seasoned machinist and modified handgun slides to fit red dots?

I'd like to get a Sig Romeo 1 for my Sig P320, but the slide needs modified in order to mount it, unfortunately.

Yes, I know you can buy off the shelf Sig P320 with fitted red dot and suppressor sights, but where's the fun in that???

Again, looking for someone who has actually done this, or something similar

Floki, if you do not get a quick response PM CJS06. If he hasn't done it he will know someone who has  ;)

Relatively inexpensive to have it done. http://www.onesourcetactical.com/SuarezSIG320.aspx (http://www.onesourcetactical.com/SuarezSIG320.aspx)

Edit: I did some further reading on the Suarez website. Looks like they don't do slide milling for that particular optic, unless, perhaps, it's the same base as another, more common one?

Swampy: thanks - i've seen this company / service. I was looking for someone who has done this before since I want to do it myself to gain experience and possible offer the service as part of our business. I used to be a machinist and have done some VERY high tolerance machining, so this i wouldn't think would be too difficult - just hoping to find someone who already had some knowledge i could learn from on the topic
