This is my favorite ballistic calculator
http://ballisticscalculator.winchester.com/ (http://ballisticscalculator.winchester.com/)
Since the official shooting range at the cabin is only 50 yards (700 yards at the unofficial range AKA power line right of way) I like to use this tool to figure out where POA vs. impact is at X yards.
Enjoy! :boltAction:

You bet Jeremy.
I like it as my shooting range up at the BOL is only 50 yards long. So we sight in rifles sometimes 1 inch high or right on the number at 50 yards.
If I remember correctly: My main center fire deer rifle is a Savage model 99 in .300 savage. I sight it in for 1/2" inch high at 50 yards which is dead on at 175 yards. Withe that said, I have never shot a deer past 75 yards LOL. What ever...I can though.

Yep, I had to do the same here on the range I usually go to. :gunner:
It's time to move out the boonies where I can just shoot where ever...the 'burbs are not the place for me.

There is 1,600 yards of power line that goes through my BOL property. My brother and I have used 800 yards of it ;) pretty well.
My bro is an outstanding shot and only uses neck shots on deer. I am an OK spotter. We make a good team if you know what I mean. >:D

I've found this to be the most accurate to my field experience out to 800yards on .308 There is a great iPhone app "Ballistics" that uses the same math and works well also.
The Winchester link does not work on old macs like mine. :(
