Me, too, but I would like to see just how much cheaper, and combine that with the video to show how much product you get for your money, and how it performs.

Nevermind...went back up and remembered that TG already listed his costs.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

I already did a cost break down but I should have reposted it to keep it fresh, I'll make the video when I get the time to. You dig the trouble with making a video is that I can't just do it. I got to get the cameras all charged and what not so I got to find the extra time but it will be forth coming. I promise.

Cost Break down.
Bar Soap (fels or zote) $1
1/2 cup washing soda $3 for 55oz (15.25cups) 30 batches! .19 per batch
1 cup borax $4.50 for 72oz (10.16cups) 10 batches .45 per batch

Comes down to $1.64 per 10 gallon batch by my math  if you wanted everthing to equal out say for long term storage you would need 30 bars of soap 1 box wash soda and 3 boxes of borax. So $46 for 15 years worth of laundry soap give or take.

We just watched the uncut video.. soo funny.

I am trying to talk 505th.NM.Militia into putting it up unedited so you guys can see the antics and bullshit we go though to make these first class videos for you.

505th goes back to school this week so it will take him a while to get it uploaded.

A safer way to make soap:  Grease or fat from cooked meat + water + lye or fireplace ashes produce soap.  You don't need much lye if you use that, just enough to bump the ph up.  Mix the ingredients over heat until the caustic takes effect.  Until then the water and grease will want to separate.  Pour into mold and cakes and let cool.

At my house we mix the soap until the 'strands' are broken up and then pour it into an old Tide bottle that is small enough for the wife to shake liberally before pouring.

I am delighted that it worked well for you! Now go share the recipe with the masses.  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or
