I was thinking that it would be a great waste of resources to use a full blown DC to AC Solar system to light the inside of my new shed. Hmmmm.... I went in the trunk of my car and got one of those small Solar panels that people use to keep their batteries topped off. Then I found two 12 volt fog lights in my other shed. Then I found a lawnmower battery that had a full charge on it. I put the 2 fog lights up on a shelf and ran the wires down to the battery and then also connected the solar panel to the battery. Bam!! I got lights when I go out there at night. The small solar panel should keep the battery topped off because the lights will only draw current for the short time I'll be spending in the shed at night. Cost? Zero because I already had everything just laying around waiting for me to rub a few brain cells together.

Most excellent use of idle resources!
Now all the shed needs is blackout curtains for any/all windows and you have a first aid station/command center ready for 24/7!!!
(I'm still relying on oil lamps for backup, damnit!... puppy sales have not yet funded the full solar install envisioned)
